How I exfoliate my skin- The Homemade Recipe

Hi guys!
Today, I’ll be talking about skincare; exfoliation to be specific.

As my friend once said: “Skincare is the sine qua non of makeup”. She couldn’t have been more correct. To ensure your makeup goes on flawlessly, the base(your skin) has to be flawless.

Plus, it wouldn’t hurt to flaunt your skin without makeup once in a while..😉

One of the most important steps in achieving gorgeous skin is EXFOLIATION.

WHY SHOULD YOU EXFOLIATE?

The cells of your skin undergo a constant cycle of death and renewal. The dead cells build up on the skin surface, prolonging the time for the new cells to reach the surface, causing rough and uneven skin, hyperpigmentation and large pores.

In other words, exfoliation is important to:

-reduce aging

-help skincare products penetrate better

-even-out skintone

-soften skin

THE RECIPE

* Ingredients

-3 tablespoons honey

-4 tablespoons sugar

-2 tablespoons oatmeal

-1 tablespoon coffee

-1 cup of coconut oil (or any oil of your choice) [optional]

-Exfoliating gloves

P.S: NO WATER (to avoid dissolving the ingredients)

* Steps

-Add the sugar, oatmeal, honey and coffee into a bowl.

-Stir until it forms a paste.

-Apply the oil to the skin in a circular motion.

-Wait for 10-15 minutes.

-Using your hand/exfoliating glove, apply the paste to your skin rubbing in circular motions upwards.

-Wait for 30-45 minutes.

-Rinse the paste off your body.

-Have your bath as you would normally do.

-Repeat once or twice a week.

*Effect:

Your skin feels softer and smoother and you feel generally refreshed. With consistency, your skin transforms from dull, slaty to glowy, beautiful skin.
This is how I exfoliate my skin and it has worked so far…how do you exfoliate your skin???Leave your comments below!!!

    1. Yeah..it’s worked so far for me..the coffee granules act as an exfoliant(because of the texture) and caffeine contains antioxidants that fight aging(fine lines and wrinkles) and spots.

  1. I usually exfoliate with coffee and olive oil in equal quantities. Always seems like I can feel my face breathes afterwards.
    I’ve never been consistent though, maybe I should try your formula and consistency.
