Today’s post is a review of the Smashbox Photo Finish primer in Light.
It’s one of those popular primers I’ve always seen around. I’ve always wondered whether it lives up to the hype.
A transparent primer gel that smoothes skin and blurs flaws. It was developed to help makeup look better and last longer on set.
Benefits include:
Makeup lasts hours & hours
Fills in fine lines & pores instantly
Glides on to give you a flawless finish ·
Lightweight and oil-free ·
Protects skin from environmental pollutants, damage & stress with antioxidants vitamin A, E + peptides
Ideal for all skin types
Review
This product comes in a 30ml tube. It is gel- like consistency, white and blends so easily into the skin. It does not leave a cast and smoothes out the skin so well.
It gives a hydrating and satin finish, that would feel amazing on normal to combination skin. It allows foundation to stay on all through the day. When I used it alone under foundation, I noticed my face was oily by the end of the day(especially in my T-zone).
My smile lines and creases were markedly reduced, which I love(there’s a post on how to reduce smile lines here).
I love this primer for its finish and it’s ability to blur fine lines. I think you’d love it if you have normal to dry skin or have creases. If you have combination to oily skin, you’d have to use another primer for your oily areas(I use the Boots No7 Beautifully Matte Base for my T-zone).
Price: $36
Where to buy: Smashbox

My holy grail primer ran out this morning so I’m on the hunt for a new one to try out. This looks great but I will bare in mind what you said about oily skin type, I have normal-combination skin so I might need a different primer for my T-zone as you suggested! Loved reading this post! 🙂
