Happy new month, people!
Barka de Sallah to my fellow Muslims….
Today’s post is a review of this setting powder I’ve been using.
Warm your skin with our new Makeup Revolution Banana Powder with this mattifying banana powder. With a hint of colour set your foundation and reduce shine whilst correcting redness and pink undertones. With a sieve to prevent clumping and ensure easy application make sure you shake the bottle before use – it is normal for powder to settle whilst shipping and therefore may not look full on arrival.
It comes in the traditional setting powder packaging, with a sieve.
The powder has a yellowish- white shade, which makes it more suitable for medium skin tones. Darker and deeper skin tones will have to use a powder less white or more yellow.
It sets concealer well and doesn’t settle into fine lines. It is not overly mattifying but creates a nice blurred finish.
It also does not give a white cast in flash photography.
(Top to Bottom: Maybelline Powder in Caramel, Black Opal Deluxe Finishing Powder in Medium, Glam’s Makeup Two way Cake in 208, Zaron Face Definer(PZ15)- the highlight shade, Makeup Revolution Banana Powder)
Of the 3 setting powders I’ve used(the LA Girl translucent powder, Black Opal Finishing powder and this), this is the most finely milled one and creates the best finish. My only problem with it is the shade that tends to be not so POC-friendly(especially for dark to deep skin tones).
Asides that, it’s worth every penny.
