Hi guys!
When was the last time I reviewed a foundation? It’s been super long, I know…

I got this foundation recently and I’ll be sharing my thoughts on it.

Product Description

This ultra matte foundation blends in smoothly and guarantees a beautiful matte finish. You are sure of an even skin tone and even more with SPF30 that protects your skin from the sun’s harmful rays. Best used over the Zaron Face Primer; and the Zaron Mattifying Powderand or Loose Powder to set and achieve flawless all day glow.

This foundation comes in a tube packaging, which is great for hygienic purposes.

On opening it, it has a slight fragrance to it, which isn’t offensive and doesn’t linger.

It has a thick consistency, that is almost creamy. The coverage is almost full coverage.

The texture makes it quite difficult to blend into the skin, so it’s best to start with a light hand and build carefully. I also found it was better to use a damp sponge than a brush. It has a matte finish, which makes it good for people with oily skin.

The shade range is not so broad; there are about 7 shades(PZ 05-35); Im not very sure. The shade I got(PZ 20) was too light. I’d probably have to mix it with PZ25 to get my perfect match.

Compared to my other foundations, Maybelline Fit Me is less thick and less mattifying; the shade 338(Spicy Brown) is less dark and more warm-tones. The shade 400 Caramel is also darker.

My major issue with this foundation is that it creases. It settles into my smile lines, which is not pretty.

Check out this video where I used it to create a look:

I like the coverage of this foundation and its mattifying properties.

However I don’t like its finish and how difficult it is to blend. I’d be mixing it with other foundations to make it work.

  1. Urgh. They apparently don’t have my shade. And right now, I’m not even bothered after this review! Thank you for setting this straight. You should try the H/E foundation. It’s amazing.

  2. I think I would scrap it out of my “wish list to buy”. I can’t be buying foundations that are hard to blend in.. That’s plenty hard work😂😂😂
That means it has same texture as classic products.
Thank you darling for sharing…. I would stick with my Hegai And Esther

      1. Easily blendable👍👍
        Has the glowy effect tho
On my skin not 100% matte tho, but I finish with LA Girl HD matte powder. So I’m good. Did a review on it, somewhere on my blog
        Long lasting👍👍

  3. I was thinking of throwing mine away because I got it a few weeks ago and was disappointed with its finish and the way it creases like a cheap foundation. However, I will take your cue and mix it with another foundation. Thanks for the insight!
