REVIEW: COLOURPOP NO FILTER CONCEALER

Hi lovelies!

Today’s post is a review of the not so new and famous Colourpop No Filter Concealer. I got mine in the Shade 50 Tan from Beauty Frenzy Blog.

Should you buy it? Is it better than the LA Girl Pro HD concealer?

I’ll be answering these questions in a bit.

Product Description
Our lightweight, creamy concealer was formulated with soft blurring pigments to give you a creaseproof, matte finish. No filter needed.

Tan with warm undertones.

Recommended for dark skin tones.

Review

This concealer comes in a cylindrical packaging with a white cap. While I love the packaging, I’m not a fan of the cap(it gets stained easily because of the colour).

I also like the the doe foot applicator. It’s flexible and great for application.

It has a thick creamy consistency, almost like foundation. I expected it to be hard to blend for this reason. However, it blended like a dream. I’ve used both brushes and sponges to blend this concealer and it blends out nicely.

The coverage is medium to full coverage and is quite buildable.

Creasing? It doesn’t crease, in my experience. I apply my foundation, concealer, then fill in my brows before setting my face with powder. In this time, the concealer stays put without settling into fine lines.

The finish of this concealer is semi-matte, which is best to prevent patchiness while staying in place.

Shade range? Many bloggers/vloggers Of Colour complained about the shade range for WOC.

Personally, I don’t think the Shade range is terrible for a concealer. I mean, it’s not a foundation so I’m not mad. A few darker shades would be nice though.

Is it a good alternative to the L.A. Girl Pro HD concealer?

Yes it is. It’s easier to blend, has more coverage and does not crease as much as the L.A. Girl Pro HD concealer.

It costs just $1 more. However in Naira, it’s double the price…*sigh*..but it’s worth the buy.

Verdict

This is my new everyday concealer.

I’m usually tired these days and this concealer makes me look awake. I’ve been getting the “you dont look tired” comments, even on days when I’m exhausted.

It’s a great concealer and you should try it out!

Price: N3500
