Long time, no blog post!
I’ve been so busy creating makeup looks, video content and starting a YouTube channel that I’ve been slacking on my blog posts. If you’re interested, you can check out my Instagram page and Youtube channel to check out makeup looks I’ve created recently.
Today’s post is a review of the Sleek lightening in a jar cream.
The powerhouse of our range. This product is a real multi-tasker. It is anti-acne, skin healing, skin lightening, sunscreen and also is an excellent makeup base. Effective against acne and blackheads. Regular use will significantly brighten your complexion. A thin layer applied in the morning under your makeup will ensure that there will be no need for reapplication of your makeup.
It comes in a nice acrylic cup with a black cap. I like the packaging, it looks minimalistic and classy.
The cream is white to cream in colour and very thick in consistency.
It is almost clay- like in consistency. This makes it a little difficult to absorb into the skin.
I’ve used it on my face regularly as I mentioned in my Affordable Skincare Routine and it has helped reduce the discolorations at the side of my face.
I cannot categorically say whether it protects against the sun or not.
My one issue with it is the white cast it leaves behind on my face. The only way to avoid it is to use very little.
I like this cream because it helps in lightening discolorations. The fact that it’s hard to blend in and leaves a white cast bother me a little.
If you’re looking for an affordable face cream for hyperpigmentation, this may be your guy.
