REVIEW: LA ROCHE POSAY FOAMING GEL CLEANSER FOR OILY/SENSITIVE SKIN

Happy weekend, lovelies!!

I’ve been trying out some skincare and makeup goodies recently. One of them is this La Roche Posay Cleanser I’m reviewing in this post.

As I get older, I am becoming more conscious of what I put on my skin. I’m gradually moving away from high pH, alcohol-based, “squeaky clean” cleansers like the RDL Cleanser and moving towards gel-based and lower ph cleansers.

I was particularly interested in this cleanser because La Roche Posay creates products targeted towards sensitive skin.

Product Description

PURIFYING FOAMING GEL CLEANSER Gently cleanses dirt and oil while respecting the skin’s pH balance at 5.5.

Zinc purifies skin and helps remove excess oil with a clear, refreshing texture.

Use as a daily face wash for oily skin

Soap-free. Paraben-free. Alcohol-free. Oil Free.

Review

I really like the packaging this cleanser comes in. It comes in a tube with a flip cap. It makes application quite specific and less messy.

The cleanser is transparent in colour and gel-like in consistency. The consistency is quite thin which makes it easier to spread across the face.

It foams on contact with water and gives a really nice lather which is not too heavy.

Does it cleanse? I use this as my second cleanser after getting my makeup out with the Olay cleansing cloths. It gets out the remaining gunk that might be left after using the wipes.

After washing off the lather, my face felt matte but not dry. It was an amazing feeling, to be honest.

I have been using it once to twice a day for the last 3 weeks and my face feels less greasy already.

I also like that it is alcohol and paraben- free, which is great.

Verdict

I love this cleanser for my combination-to-oily skin. It is oil, paraben and alcohol-free and offers great quality for its price. It’s totally worth the buy, especially for people with combination and oily skin types.

Price: $5.99 for 50mls
