Welcome back to my blog, beauties!
It’s been ages since I did a review and I’m so sorry for that. I’ve been focusing more on my Instagram page and it’s been difficult managing all of it.
Today’s post is a review of this Nivea lotion. I first heard about this from Desi Perkins and then Karen(Iluvsarahii) who both started using after a recommendation from MakeupShayla.
When all your faves start raving about a product, you know you gotta get it!
Keep reading to find out whether it’s actually worth the hype.

Review
This product comes in 3 sizes; 2.5, 6.8 and 16.9 fluid ounces. I mention this it means there’s basically a size for every occasion; short, long vacays, pro makeup and the super huge one for home. I got it in the 6.8 oz size.
The packaging is travel-friendly and doesn’t spill except opened.
The lotion is white in colour and has an amazing scent to it. The consistency is quite thick(lighter than a cream but thicker than your average lotion). Despite this, it gets absorbed into the skin very easily.
It also gives a radiant sheen to the skin when applied. I have normal to dry skin on my body(except on my face) and this keeps me really hydrated.
I recommend applying it immediately after a bath(without drying off) because it helps to retain as much moisture as possible and helps to reduce itchiness(if you have atopic dermatitis(that is)
It also does not make me oily or sweaty in any way.
I also love it as a base for highlighters, when I want some parts of my body to glow. I apply it on my bare skin(legs, décolletage) and then apply my Melanie Mills Body Radiance. This mixture gives the most amazing glow from within without looking shiny.
Verdict
It is super affordable, helps to moisturize the skin deeply. It also contains almond oil which is great. If you have dry to normal skin, you’d love this. It is also a great buy for makeup artists(especially for photoshoots to keep the skin looking lush).

Fancy seeing a review about Nivea body lotion. I have memories with this cream.. used it for a long period while in secondary that I wouldn’t give it a thought again. It was really good while it lasted though… Then, it had enough oil to protect my skin from getting ashy during harmattan and I didn’t have to use Vaseline. I think I’m over it unless I get it as a gift… love the pictures

Can a makeup artist use it as face moisturizer for client

Hi Omah! No I don’t advise that. It’s too thick for a face moisturizer. It’s a moisturizer for the body.

Great review Ifedayo! I have used the Nivea Smooth Milk Body lotion which is meant for dry skin. I like to use it only during winters and this is too heavy for the summers as I have normal skin. The tip about using it as a base for highlighting body parts is amazing! You are right! These nourishing body lotions gives that subtle glow and healthy looking skin and would work well as a base for body highlighters. Thanks for the tip.
