Hi hi!
I was recently chosen to be one of the brand ambassadors for a Nigerian-owned makeup brand called RLG Cosmetics and I was super excited.
I was sent a PR package and I’m so happy to share with you guys the amazing stuff I got. I also got a *discount code “IFE” which saves you 10% off all orders when used at checkout…yayyy!!
One of them was the Wet highlighting palette, which I had been eyeing for the longest time.
Today’s post is a review of this baby…stay tuned to check out my thoughts.
Product Description
The WET HIGHLIGHTING palette, best highlighter formula ever, has 4 extremely different formula and 2 baked highlighters that melts into your skin leaving an illuminating look from within the skin, they are super pigmented, has a wet feel/texture, they do not get messy when applied, made with vegan and high quality ingredients.
Wear over the face, body or your favourite part, comes with a mirror and magnetic pans.
Review
This palette comes in a gorgeous iridescent pink “thick cardboard-like” packaging with a magnetic snap. On opening, it has 6 highlighters of different shades and a mirror. Each shade has its name underneath it(which is really thoughtful).
Upon swatching, these highlighters feel really smooth and non-glittery. They also apply well to the skin, without skipping or leaving streaks. I also like how they blend into the skin, rather than sitting on it. This creates a glow from within rather than a chunk of pigment on the skin.
They are heavily pigmented, so I prefer to apply them with a fan brush rather than a denser brush.
It has a variety of shades with different undertones, making it suitable for paler to very deep skin tones.
The descriptions of the shades are below:
1. Horizon: A champagne gold shade with pearl-like tones suitable for paler skin.
2. Gilli: A true gold shade that would sit beautifully on deeper skin tones.
3. Yaz: This shade is rose gold with silver undertones.
4. Uprising: This is my absolute fave. It’s a shade between bronze and rose gold. It’s absolutely perfect for dark skin tones because it blends beautifully with bronzer and blush.
5. Dawn: This is a bronze Shade with copper tones.
6. Sunset: This shade is a mix of champagne and rose gold. It is another of my faves.
Verdict
I love this palette because it is affordable, versatile and pigmented.
I think it is a great buy for makeup artists because it has a lot of shades to choose from and mix(it is also travel friendly). It is also amazing for makeup enthusiasts and highlighter junkies(like myself, lol)….
