I hope you’re doing well. Today’s post is a review of RLG Cosmetics “Toke Makinwa” eyeshadow palette.
It’s been so long since I did an eyeshadow review(I know, I know!) I hope you all like it and find it helpful.
The TOKE MAKINWA PALETTE consist of 6 baked eyeshadows and 3 matte pressed powder eyeshadows, matched effortlessly with a range of finishes and textures to define your looks from daytime to night time.
The formula is baked, which makes for an ultra-smooth application. It allows the product to be used wet or dry. Use dry to achieve a traditional look on the eyelids or wet to increase pigmentation for a more dramatic and long lasting look.
I like the packaging of this eyeshadow palette. It is small, sturdy and travel friendly. It does not contain a mirror, however the palette is so small that it doesn’t bother me.
The palette has 9 shades, 3 mattes and 6 shimmers.
The shimmers are baked shimmers, which means they were set in the sun to bake with more than 1 shade. They are so reflective, apply nicely and have good pigmentation.
The matte eyeshadows are really easy to apply. Some matte eyeshadows apply patchy and are not very pigmented, so I was genuinely happy when I used these ones.
I like the shade range in the palette. It has a variety of shades, which makes it very versatile.
What I love most about it is that it does not leave fallout. I really hate when I apply eyeshadow after my base and it creates a mess on my base.
Here’s a quick demo of me using the palette:
I really like this eyeshadow palette. It has become a great staple for me for creating looks and it has great pigmentation.
